GOLDEN PHEASANTS
I was commissioned to write Golden Pheasants by Temple Beth El after the successful production of The Oven at Barebones Theatre Group. The staged reading premiered on April 20, 2004 at the Jewish Community Center of Charlotte, NC. It was presented as part of the 2004 Holocaust Remembrance Festival and was directed by Cory Sandrock. The stage manager was Sumer McElroy and the cast included Matthew Sadinsky, Eric Johnson, Glenn Hutchinson, Hank West, Annette Saunders, Julie Poteet, Brad Grusnick, and Karen Surprise.


THE OVEN
I have been fortunate enough to see this short play presented several times on stages around the country and, most recently, I teamed with Madtown Media to produce the film version.
  • On Film
    The Oven was filmed on location in Chicago at The Mercy Home for Boys and Girls. The crew included Cory Sandrock, Kris Sandrock, Paul Bieschke, Matt Russell, Mark Price, Ricky Cozzolino, and Brent Sandrock. The cast featured Caryn Crye, Karen Surprise, and Elizabeth Dayton.
  • Chicago
    The Oven opened in Chicago at The Side Project on June 5, 2003. Cory Sandrock directed and the stage manager was Mandi Heilman. The cast included Courtney Abbott, Marni Usheroff, and Elizabeth Dayton.
  • Charlotte
    The Oven received a Producer’s Pick award at the Barebones Theatre Group New 15-Minute Play Festival in Charlotte, NC on May 24, 2003. The production was directed by Camille Dewing and the cast featured Caryn Crye, Karen Surprise, and Annette Saunders.
  • New York
    The Oven premiered at the Ensemble Studio Theatre in New York City on June 19, 2002. It was directed by Cory Sandrock and the cast included Liz Eckert, Despina Crassa, and Corrie McCrae.

LOVEPLAY
A staged reading of loveplay opened at The Side Project on November 10, 2003 as part of the Harvest Festival of New Plays. It was directed by Cory Sandrock and the cast featured Parvesh Cheena, Corrie McCrae, Brad Grusnick, Gina Virgallito, and Courtney Abbott.


HENRY V
This production of the classic Shakspeare play was the inagural Sandrock Entertainment event. It was directed by Cory Sandrock and it opened on April 7, 2000 at Northwestern University. The production featured a cast of thirty and it also toured Wisconsin.
